Notes

  • The NTB may have been configured into a state where it simply cannot be contacted.The circumstances could include:
  • An incorrect static IP address has been set.
  • Passwords have been forgotten.
  • The NTB's firewall has been set incorrectly.
  • It is possible to restore the NTB to it's factory default settings.This procedure will not delete any content.

Instructions

  1. Attach a keyboard to the NTB (purple jack).
  2. Press Ctrl-Alt-F1.
  3. Type the NTB user name: "maint", and pressthe Enter key.
  4. Type the NTB password: "maint" (characterswill not appear on the screen) and pressEnter.
  5. If the above failed try "onelan" "onelan"instead.
  6. Type the number of the menu option to reset to the desired factory settings.
  7. Type "yes" to agree to this change.
  8. Type "0" to exit from the maintenance menu.
  9. Type "yes" to allow the system to reboot.
  10. Once the system has rebooted you should be able to connect to it.
