Notes

  • If an NTB has published itself as a Channel then another NTB can be made to subscribe to the Channel provided that it can access it.

Instructions

  1. Confirm that the channel was published correctly - go back one step if necessary.
  2. Browse to the NTB that must subscribe to the Channel.
  3. Go to the "Setup | Channel" page on the Subscriber.
  4. Change the role to "NTB Subscribes to a Channel to get content".
  5. Set the "Channel Subscription URL" to:
    http://" followed by the address of the Publisher followed by "/data/channel".
    E.g. "http://192.168.1.250/data/channel".
  6. Set "Authentication" to the same username and password that you use to access the Publisher.
  7. Click the "Apply" button.
  8. If you get a pink error message then it may give you an indication of wher the fault lies.
  9. Go to the "HOME | Channel" page.
  10. Wait until the subscription process is 100% complete. The NTB should start to show the new Channel within a few minutes.

Send a Support Snapshot

  1. Optional: Preview an Image on the screen to reduce the load on the processor.
  2. Browse to the "Settings | Support" page on the NTB and click "Run" for "Create Support Snapshot".
  3. The NTB will create a file and prompt you to download it.("Server Error" message? Try again, don't leave out step 1.)
  4. Click the link below to start a new e-mail message.
  5. Attatch the downloaded file to the e-mail.
  6. Give a description of the problem and send the e-mail.
  7. Technical Support will reply with further instructions.
