Instructions

  1. Make sure that the NTB is connected to a display screen.
  2. If possible, browse to the NTB and make it show a very simple layout - one which just shows a single image, for example.
  3. Wait to see if the the NTB crashes, hangs or goes off-line again.
  4. If it does not go wrong then there is probably some media in your layout that is causing the problem.
  5. Work out which one it is by process of elimination, starting with videos and then Flash files.
  6. When you find the offending media item, replace it with a media type that is easier to play or not corrupt.
  7. If the NTB does crash while showing the simple layout then there may be a hardware fault.

Send a Support Snapshot

  1. Optional: Preview an Image on the screen to reduce the load on the processor.
  2. Browse to the "Settings | Support" page on the NTB and click "Run" for "Create Support Snapshot".
  3. The NTB will create a file and prompt you to download it.("Server Error" message? Try again, don't leave out step 1.)
  4. Click the link below to start a new e-mail message.
  5. Attatch the downloaded file to the e-mail.
  6. Give a description of the problem and send the e-mail.
  7. Technical Support will reply with further instructions.
