INTRODUCTION
These release notes describes the features and limitations for the NTB software Version 5.2.3.
FEATURES
This version is a major update for the NTB software.
It continues to deliver all the functionality described in the
NTB110 Data Sheet,
but with support for Digital TV.
We recommend that you read the NTB Users Guide
for an introduction to using the NTB.
Users familar with the NTB V4 Web user interface are recommended to read
NTB V5 for V4 users.
NEW IN 5.2.3

The following improvements have been made:
Problems fixed:
- HTML clock correctly sets the AM/PM indicator at midday.
- German DVB-T station names are now supported.
- Date and Time Page now allows the local time to be changed.
- All items in a play list can be edited now.
- The Channel Publiser no longer supports Backup Mode. Use the more powerful Layout Packages feature instead.
- The time is now correctly show in the NTB page banner. It was always assuming daylight save/summer time was in effect.
- Support font files with "&" in their names
- Security fix implemented for CVE-2006-5051, CVE-2006-5052.
- Support a full set of characters in Exteral Web Page URLs. URLs that cannot be supported are now detected and an error reported to the user.
- Support Newsfeed synchronisation for multiple newsfeeds at the sae time.

The following improvements have been made:
New Features:
- Multi-Channel Publishing allows a single NTB to publish to multiple channels.
- Schedule Override allows layouts to be shown without interruption.
For example to show TV for an important sports event.
An Advanced Ad-hoc license is required to use Ad-hoc Schedule Overrides.
- HTML player can show part of a web page. Useful for extracting a small part of a larger page.
- Subtitles can be optionally show for Digital TV and Streaming Video.
- Option to change all Audition buttons into Preview buttons.
Where as Auditions are shown on the NTB's screen, Previews are shown in the Web Browser.
- Soundtrack to play Audio files and DVB Radio Stations.
- Screen background can be an image.
- Improved Player Status page. Layouts and Zones are linked to the appropiate editing pages.
- Text scrolls can be aligned vertical to the Top, Center or Bottom of the Zone.
- Screen background settings are published allowing all the NTB in a Channel to use the same background image.
- Digital Radio is now scanned for as well as Digital TV.
You will need to re-scan to add Digital Radio Stations to an updated NTB.
Problems fixed:
- Tables can now be Copied and Pasted.
- Screen background setting now accessed form the Home page.
- Users with Monitor Access Permission can now view Screen Snap Shots
- Text files can now be Auditioned/Previewed.

Problems fixed:
- Layout Package Information showed a traceback instead of the information.
- Update failed unless there where 3 NTP servers defined.
- Model number of NTB 3305 was not displayed consistently.
- Deinterlacing was not working correctly on NTB110, NTB113 and NTB115 models.
- Workaround Apple's Safari web brower's limitation with showing a file upload progress bar.
- The NTB time shown in the Web browser was not taking day light saving into account. This resulted in
the displayed timing being wrong by 1 hour in some time zones.
- After an update it was sometimes necessary to force the browser to reload NTB pages to use new features.

- Layout Packages facility.
A Layout Package is a single file which contains all the media and
control files required to fully install one or more
Layouts on another NTB. Once a Layout Package has been created,
it can be copied to another NTB, and the Layouts can be Installed
on that NTB.
- NTB3305 and NTB3300 support portrait mode screens.
- NTB3305 and NTB3300 support two movie zones.
- The volume of HTML items can now be set.
- The NTB Web user interface has been translated into Italian.
- The Software Update page has been improved to check that
an update can be applied and give feedback to the user.
Problems fixed:
- "Files & Folders" tab replaces the seperate "Files" tabs and "Folders" tab.
- Adding an item to the Schedule has been improved.
- The Channel Mananger no longer supports "Additive" subsciption mode, use Layout Packages instead.
- Flash sound no longer interfers with movie sound.
- Improved Setup Network page
- Improved Setup Date and Time page
- Digital TV in poor reception areas has been improved.
- Support snap shot has been changed to avoid some of the problems with content checking email systems.
- Fix compatibility issue with the ONELAN Network-Status-Monitor (NSM).
- Colours must have a unique description and a unique value, this is now checked for.

Ad-hoc Items and Pages in the new channel will not be
copied to the NTB. Unfortunately, these items and pages
will need to be recreated manually. Tables in the new
channel will be copied, however, Ad-hoc Tables will
revert back to non Ad-hoc.
A warning message will be
shown against the affected Tables and can be corrected by
creating an Ad-hoc Table Item for each. All other media
will be copied as expected.
These restrictions do not apply when subscribing in Replace mode.

Problems fixed:
- Square blocks displayed at the end of each text line when certain fonts selected.
- If multiple diary entries have repeat enabled, the diary may not function as expected.
This may result in a traceback.
- Failure to Activate Diary and Layouts after playing a movie which has a duration set which is longer
than the length of the movie.
- Traceback when applying a Plasma Burn Mitigation with a duration of 0.
- Incorrect display of very long text. Note: very long text (text that renders
larger than 32k pixels) is now clipped.
- 'Parse error' is shown on the player status and home pages if the current layout contains
an Advance To entry.
- Improved status reporting when switching between Channel Manager roles.
- Some HTML buttons drawn as disabled could be submitted in the Mac OS Safari browser.
- Changes to the FTP port where not shown correctly on the security page.
- Text would not use a font with a family name that contains a hyphen (-).
- After modifying an analogue TV channel, 'None' appears in each of the analogue TV channel entries.
- Could not change the second and subsequent analogue TV channel information using the
Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.
- Digital TV was not scanning channels 64 to 69 which could lead to missing TV stations.
- Other minor fixes and user interface improvements.
