Mulit-Channel Publishing

With the Advanced-Ad-Hoc licence, an NTB can publish more than one Channel on it's own disk/server. This is particularly useful if there are not enough subscribers to warrant the expense of having one publisher per Channel.

The publisher can be made to show the Schedule of any one of the Channels that is has published interchangeably.

How to Publish more than one Channel

1. Buy and install the advanced ad-hoc licence.
2. Browse to "Setup | Channel" and select "NTB Publishes content to multiple Channels" and click "Save".
3. Click on "Channels" tab and then "Add Channel".
4. Click "Activate" for the new Channel.
5. Create Layouts for the new Channel and put them into the Schedule. This will be the Schedule for the new Channel.
6. Browse to the "Publish Channel" page and click "Publish Now".
7. Go to the "Channel Status" page and wait for the process to reach 100%.
8. Repeat from step 3 onwards for each new Channel.

How to Subscribe an NTB to a Multi-Channel NTB

1. Log into the NTB that must subscribe to the Channel and configure it as a Subscriber.
2. The "Channel Subscription URL" will be "http://" followed by the IP address of the Publisher followed by "/data/" followed by the folder name given on the Publisher for the relevant Channel. E.g. "http://192.168.1.250/data/multiChannels/2".

How to Switch the Channel on the Publisher

1. Browse to "Setup | Channel | Channels" on the Publisher.
2. Click "Activate" for the Channel that you want the Publisher to switch to.
3. Edit the Channel and re-publish.
4. Repeat for each Channel that must be edited and/or re-published.
