Layouts

The Net-Top-Box (NTB) displays content on a screen according to a user-defined geometry and sequence, collectively known as a Layout.

A Layout has one or more rectangular Zones.

An NTB can show more than one Zone on the screen at a time.

Zones are drawn in the order in which they are listed so Zone B could overlap Zone A and Zone C could overlap Zone B and so on.

The NTB background will be visible in any part of the Layout that is not covered by a zone. The colour or image in the NTB background is customisable.

Every Zone has a Playlist.

A Layout has an optional Soudtrack which also has a Playlist.

A Playlist has one or more media items (Content).

Content can be video, audio, images or text files stored on the NTB or other video, adudio and web content sourced over the Internet or airwaves.
