Channel Management

The Channel Administrator is assumed to be located at a Headquarters location. This document assumes that the Administrator is familiar with regular operation of the Net-Top-Box (NTB) though the web browser interface, i.e how to create a Programme of scheduled Layout changes, maintain the associated PlayLists and upload content onto the NTB.

Normal day-to-day operation of the Channel is performed by making updates to the Programme on the Publishing (Preview) NTB and then publishing the updated Programme by clicking the "Publish Channel" button.

The Channel will be published to a designated FTP server, which can be the NTB itself although this is not recommended if there are more than five subscribing NTBs or if there is a firewall between them.

The Channel Administrator is assumed to have privileged access into each of the subscribing NTBs and can therefore change any operating mode or settings of any NTB in the Channel if required.
