How to Add Colours, Fonts and Set Screen Background

Add Colours

You can specify colours for text, clocks, tables, backgrounds and so on. The NTB has a basic colour collection so you may wish to add your own. You will need to know the Red, Green, Blue (RGB) or the Hex values for your colour before you start.

Browse to "Home | Colours | Add Colour".
Give your new colour a name that is not already used and enter EITHER RGB values OR the Hex value and click "Add".
You can change the colour at any time in the future.

Add Fonts

The NTB has a number of pre-loaded fonts but you may wish to add one of your own. You will need to obtain the font as a TTF or OTF file first and to rename ".OTF" files to ".TTF".

Warning! Note that font files in the "WINDOWS\Fonts" folder on a PC need to be copied using "Edit | Copy" from the menu bar and pasted into another folder before they can be uploaded onto the NTB.

Browse to "Home | Fonts | Add Font".
Click "Browse", locate the .TTF file.
Click "Upload"

Set the Screen Background

During its boot sequence and in between loading Layouts the NTB shows a yellow-green background. This background is also seen between the gaps in a Layout that is not covered with Zones. The screen background colour can be changed or it can be replaced by an image. The screen background image can be used as splash screen or serve as the background zone for layouts.

Setting the colour to black is not recommended as this makes fault finding more difficult.

How to Change the Screen Background

Browse to "Home | Screen Background".
Select either "Solid colour" or "Image".
If "Solid Colour" then select a colour (you may need to add one first) and click the "Save" button.
If "Image" then browse the file system for an image (you may need to upload one first), click "Use image" and "Save". You can introduce a delay at this point if you want the image to behave like a splash screen.
